Christmas Word Search Freebie
Christmas is here! This is my absolute favorite time of year. I love the colors and the lights, the smell of a fresh cut evergreen tree, and all the holiday activities. Living in the Washington DC metro, there are literally dozens and dozens of different ways we can celebrate the season. From lighted boat parades to breakfast with Santa, I try to squeeze in as much fun with the kiddos as I can. Christmas has always been a magical time of year for me, and I want to create that experience for my girls as well.
Christmas is also a really busy season for most people. We--and society--put a lot of pressure on ourselves to make it that magical experience, and sometimes we take on too much. I've learned what I can reasonably handle after a few years of trying to do #allthethings, and I try to stick to that. No making Christmas cookies during the week or trying to go to every single lights display. Just find what makes the season fun for your family, and run with it.
One way I like to keep the kids in the Christmas spirit that doesn't take much work on my part is having Christmas craft kids and printables on hand. I try to stock up during the clearance blowouts after Christmas for the next year at stores like Michael's and Target on craft kits that the kids can easily put together themselves. This is an easy after dinner project for during the week, and they love displaying their creations with the rest of our holiday decor. I also have many holiday printables in my shop that can be used throughout the season to keep them distracted from mayhem (and on the Nice List).
One printable I have that always goes over well is actually a group of printables including this Santa word search. It includes I spy, tic tac toe, a maze and more. Just like all my printables, it's ready to go so all you need to do is download and print! I'm giving the Santa word search as this month's freebie, but if you want the whole pack, click here to grab it in my shop.
I love a good word search, and everyone loves Santa. Follow the link below for access to my members-only freebie vault to grab this freebie! My VIP members get access to all my free printables, past and future, all housed in one place to make it easy peasy.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season full of magic and wonder. May your children's behavior keep them on the Nice List, and your sanity stay intact throughout the school holiday. If not, there's probably a printable for that :)
